Research by the blogging agency Invite and Tiburon Research found out which social networks Russians prefer. In the first place was Telegram.

The data received by the agency for March showed that 89% of Russians prefer the Telegram messenger. The social network “Vkontakte” is used by 79% of respondents. YouTube video hosting is in demand among 73% of residents. The audience aged 18 to 24 uses VKontakte more often than users aged 25-44: 90% of respondents versus 77%.

In addition, the data showed that 60% of users follow influencers and bloggers. Of these, 57% are ready to go for idols in new social networks.

The director of the research center explained:

“Influencers, like all people, have a hard time adapting to new realities, especially when many of them have lost the main thing – the platform for their activities. Because of this, both the quality and quantity of content suffer. And the audience noticed it – 39% admitted that they feel sad about this. This figure indicates that the audience lacks a positive agenda in the information space.”
