Appeared a month and a half ago Elden ring and the action role-playing game dominated the news from the world of video games not only because of the outstanding press response (including our test). If you’re just getting started or are still fully into it, take a look at our overview with lots of Elden Ring tips and tricks!
Of course, reviews only dealt with things that are in the game – while discussions gradually also dealt with canceled features and content. So found dataminer among other things, symbols that pointed to planned items or even a whole bestiary. And also the seventh, secret ending “Age Absolute” fell victim to the time limitations.
Inception meets Elden Ring: Show me your dreams
Another originally planned, but unfortunately remote mechanics The dataminer Lance McDonald, who is well known in the From Software community, and the dataminer SekiroDubi have now tracked down and worked out in two videos. It’s about collecting dream sleeping animals and their use, for which there are two possible explanations, among others.
In the network test there were many sleeping animals in the intermediate land, but they no longer existed in the final published game. Like SekiroDubi in his video shows, they seem to have been there for you to use the item St. Trina’s Crystal Ball on them and thus get the item Slumbering Mist.
In his video, SekiroDubi speculates that this is an earlier variant of collecting ghost ashes could act. So instead of finding the spirit ashes as a reward after boss fights or scattered around the world, you should have used the crystal ball to collect the dreams of sleeping animals.
Lance McDonald in turn walks in his video another use: Originally, there should have been a now-removed NPC in the Stormhill hut asking the player to help him brew a certain drink. This is where the collected dreams come into play again.
This NPC would have used the animals’ dreams to create a special alcohol that players could then give to other NPCs. The dream alcohol in turn should then loosen the tongues of other characters, elicit their secrets and thus create new dialogues – just like the sake in Sekiro.
