New processor from MediaTek will compete with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+
Recently, the competition between MediaTek and Qualcomm has become increasingly fierce. And now information about the new overclocked MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor was leaked to the network, in response to Qualcomm’s intentions to release its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chip in May.
At this stage, Dimensity 9000 wins Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, both in synthetic tests and in throttling. Therefore, global changes in new chips should not be expected. The main change will be an increase in the frequency of the Cortex-X2 supercore from 3.05 to 3.2 GHz, as Qualcomm wants to do in principle with its new product.
