Small mistakes are immediately punished in “Elden Ring”. A player had to realize this in a tragic way when he competed against the boss Morgott.
Japanese developer FromSoft’s games are known for their difficult and unforgiving bosses. This is no different with the latest title “Elden Ring”. In the community of the so-called Soulsborne Games, there are something like unwritten rules that you should definitely pay attention to, especially in boss fights. One of them is to always turn the camera to the opponent in order to be able to keep an eye on them.
A player now shows in an impressive way how quickly a fight can go wrong if you don’t follow this rule. “I literally sat there in shock,” writes the user Zyphker about his not-so-optimal attempt against the Demigod Morgott.
Player makes painful mistake just before victory
At first, Zyphker didn’t do too badly against the final boss of Leyndell. Morgott’s HP is low when the player makes his big mistake. Morgott, King of the Mark shares some attacks with the introductory boss of Elden Ring, Margit, the Cruel Mark. But Morgott also has some nasty techniques of his own, such as AoE attacks or a hard move in which he impales players on his weapon.

On Reddit, Zyphker takes his defeat with humor. “Drinking as soon as you wake up is always a bad decision. Doing it without knowing where the boss is or what he’s doing is even worse,” one of his teammates wrote. Other readers also write that he should have gotten to safety after getting up. Others make fun of the fact that Zyphker seems to have more stamina than health. Another player sums up the gossip: “You…uh…forgot, you know, to look at the boss.”
