In addition, according to a Reuters report on April 7, Russia’s communications regulator said on the same day that it would take punitive measures against Google, including a ban on advertising the platform and its information resources, for allegedly violating Russian law.
Reuters said Russia’s communications regulator accused YouTube of being “one of the key platforms for disseminating false photos of (Russia’s) special military operations on Ukrainian soil.” YouTube has globally banned Russian state media from using its platform.
