A new Apple power adapter with two USB-C ports accidentally lit up on the official website of the company.
9to5Mac found a support document that describes a 35W charger with two USB-C ports. Some time after the publication, Apple removed all mention of the new power supply.
“Use the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Power Adapter with a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device. Connect the USB-C cable to any port on the power adapter, extend the electrical prongs (if necessary), then plug the power adapter firmly into a power outlet. Make sure the outlet is easily accessible to unplug. Connect the other end of the cable to your device,” the documentation said.
In addition, 9to5Mac journalists indicated the operating modes of the charger:
“The power adapter supports the following modes: 5VDC/3A, 9VDC/3A, 15VDC/2.33A or 20VDC/1.75A. The total charging power is 35W.”
Interestingly, back in early March, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple was preparing a new 30W power adapter with GaN technology. Most likely, the company will introduce it in the next few months.
