Xiaomi announced last year that it revised the update frequency for one of its most popular product lines, the Redmi Note. She intends to release new items within the series every six months, so do not be surprised that China is preparing for the announcement of Redmi Note 12. The new line should be presented in the second quarter of this year, tentatively in May.

At this stage, the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 12 looks promising. According to well-known network informant Digital Chat Station, the new family will include a model with the Dimensity 8000 (MT6895) chipset. We can assume that we are talking about Redmi Note 12 Pro or Redmi Note 12 Pro +.

Recall that the Dimensity 8000 is only a slightly reduced performance version of the Dimensity 8100 processor. The chip is made using 5-nanometer technology and offers eight processor cores grouped into two clusters. The first block was occupied by a quartet of high-performance Cortex-A78 cores with a peak frequency of 2.75 GHz, and the second block was assigned to Cortex-A55 cores.

There is reason to believe that all new items in the Redmi Note 12 series will receive AMOLED panels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and FullHD + resolution, offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of permanent memory, batteries with a capacity of 4500-5000 mAh and fast charging speed will be at least 67 W, and the “firmware” should offer 120-watt charging at all.
