The Secret Haligtree Medallion in Elden Ring is a key item you need to unlock access to the final area of ​​the Between Lands.

This last area – the Sacred Snowfield – is located to the west on the mountain top of the giants and is completely optional. You don’t have to visit it to beat Elden Ring, but it’s worth it: the snowfield is home to the final legacy dungeon and one of the best bosses in the game.

To reach it, you need the left and right halves of the medallion.

This old man will give you the right half of the elevator medallion.
  • Find right half: You can find the right half of the medallion in the Albinaurics village in Liurnia. Behind the perfumer lurking on the hillside is a large pot. Roll against this pot and he turns out to be a living person: Albus. The old man will give you his half of the locket with a request that you take it to Latenna, an Albinauric woman.
  • Find left halfMission: You get the left part of the medallion from this same woman – Latenna. You’ll meet her at the slumbering wolf’s hut, but first you’ll need to travel through the crystal tunnels by the lake in Liurnia to reach this hut. Latenna won’t give you her part until you’ve talked to Albus and can show his half.

And Latenna has the other half.

Carry the assembled medallion to Rold’s Great Elevator in the Forbidden Lands and stand on the elevator platform.

Use the arrow keys to toggle through to “Lift Secret Medallion”. This will transport you to the entrance of the West Peak of the Giants. The location you have to cross is called Secret path to the Halig tree.


With the assembled medallion you can progress in the Great Elevator of Rold.

Beyond the elevator, head north into a large room with a staircase on the left. First enter the chamber opposite, kill the two small and the large land octopus and take them 2x Warming Stone in reception.


Then march up the stairs, carefully, and target the little enemies with the sickles. Behind them, another big octopus wants to know and tumbles down from the ceiling.

The corpse on the steps behind separates from 5x Frost Fat. Kill the land octopuses and collect 1x Graves Lilies (9).


This fellow objects to your going on.

Up the stairs you get to Place of Mercy (Secret Path to Halig Tree) and behind it you step outside. This is where the Sacred Snowfield begins.
