Attached to the arm, the electric cylinder should give the diver a speed of 1.4 meters per second. Subnado is said to be the smallest in the industry.
The Chinese company has previously focused on electric boats with a carrier plane, but soon Waydoo will once again launch a kickstarter campaign for an underwater scooter in miniature format.
Subnado consists of a 38 cm long aluminum cylinder that the diver attaches to the top of his forearm. The 500 W electric motor provides a traction of up to 6.5 kg, which should be enough to make a person of 65 kg travel 1.4 meters per second underwater. It writes New Atlas.
The diver controls the unit by pressing with his thumb on a control worn around the index finger. The built-in battery of 98 Wh should be able to provide 56 minutes of use on one charge – alternatively it can be used to charge other devices.
Maximum diving depth is 60 meters. The entire Subnado weighs only 1.4 kg, and according to the company, it is the smallest jet ski in the world. It is also possible to carry a unit on each arm, and the diver can then expect to get up to two meters per second as quickly as possible. Another alternative is to mount the jet ski as an engine under, for example, a paddle board. The price is expected to land at around SEK 2,800.
