Climate change is causing more and more frequent episodes of storms and floods that cause power cuts. And if we add to that the war in Ukraine which amplifies the difficulties of energy supply, we can say that owning a small power station at home is not a bad idea.

Juice for the whole house

The manufacturer EcoFlow is therefore launching two new batteries in France, the Delta Pro and DeltaMax. The first offers a basic capacity of 3.6 kWh, expandable up to 25 kWh. In its basic version, it is able to operate the essentials of the house for 24 hours. And up to a week with the maximum capacity.

EcoFlow has also developed a whole ecosystem of accessories, which allow the Delta Pro to continue to meet the needs of the house: solar panels, wind turbines, house panel, additional batteries. Charging this power station on the domestic sector takes three hours, but you can also go through an electric car supercharger.

The Delta Max is an emergency power station that provides half-day autonomy thanks to its 2 kWh capacity. By adding two additional Smart Extra batteries, this capacity can be increased to 6 kWh, enough to allow a family to live comfortably for two days. This model can also power a motorhome for more than seven hours. It requires a two-hour recharge to refuel.

The Delta Max unit is available from €1,799, the Delta Pro is priced at €3,799. High prices, but the investment will be worth it the next time a power outage puts all the electrical appliances in the household on the floor…
