And Hyper Light Breaker offers both 3D and other news.
The retro adventure Hyper Light Drifter not everyone liked it, but enough to be able to call it popular across teams. Last fall, developer Heart Machine released us Solar Ashand the now-announced “sequel” (which they themselves claim is not a sequel) to Hyper Light Drifter seems to have a lot in common with that game.
Hyper Light Breaker is, unlike its predecessor, in 3D and takes place in an open game world. In addition, we will not have to face the dangers of said world on our own, as the game supports co-op for an entire “team”. Hordes of enemies and giant bosses await, and we will be able to whip them with a variety of weapons and items. The game has a roguelite layout, so experimenting with different types of characters is encouraged.
But not everything disappears when you die, because you have a residence to upgrade between rounds. One’s achievements in the game world also lead to it being populated by more and more characters.
Hyper Light Breaker to be released in early access in 2023. Check out Steam page to see some pictures and a GIF of some gameplay.
