French President Emmanuel Macron has reaffirmed his support for the EU’s eastern neighbours Moldova and Georgia in the event of a Russian attack. We stand resolutely by their side to defend their sovereignty and security, Macron said in talks on Saturday with Moldovan President Maia Sandu and Georgian counterpart Salome Zurabishvili, according to the Élysée Palace.
