A 59-year-old woman was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Barnegat, authorities said. Alice Toriello was trying to make a left turn from Cole Drive onto southbound Barnegat Boulevard when her car collided with a northbound vehicle just before 4 p.m., Barnegat police said in a statement Tuesday. Toriello, of Barnegat, was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle, a 28-year-old man from the Waretown section of Ocean Township in Ocean County, declined to be treated for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
