The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a crash Tuesday afternoon in which a Jersey City police car struck and injured a pedestrian. Prosecutor Esther Suarez said the crash occurred at 4:41 p.m. in the area of Jersey Avenue and Aetna Street while the two officers inside the patrol car were responding to a call. The victim, a 44-year-old city man, was jogging when when he was struck. The man was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center to be treated for a serious, but not life-threatening injury to a lower extremity, Suarez said.
