Germany’s state-owned international broadcaster, Deutsche Welle (DW), has launched disciplinary proceedings in five cases relating to anti-Semitism in members of its staff with a view to termination of service, DW head Peter Limbourg said on Monday. Limbourg released no details of the staff members involved. An external investigation into certain staff members of DW’s Arabic service and into freelancers working abroad has been running over recent weeks.
