Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi claimed his first major championship title on Sunday when he soared to normal hill ski jumping gold at the Beijing Olympics. Four Hills winner Kobayashi held on a first-round lead to get the gold with 104.5 and 99.5 metres for 275.0 points. Austrian 36-year-old veteran Manuel Fettner was a surprise silver medallist, 4.2 points back from jumps of 102.5m and 104m.
