A Newark man who authorities have been searching for since October was arrested Tuesday morning on charges alleging he shot and killed an Elizabeth resident last summer, authorities announced. Jefferson Louis, 25, is charged with murder and weapons offenses in the Aug. 4 slaying, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said in a joint release Tuesday.
