Former Austrian vice chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache has been charged with bribery, the latest in a string of cases. A businessperson gave him benefits and donated money to an association close to Strache’s Freedom Party (FPÖ), according to the public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday. In return, the businessman was allegedly given a post as a supervisory board member of state motorway operator Asfinag while Strache was in office, from 2017 to 2019.
