Saturday, 29 January 2022 – Detectives based in Busia’s Butula sub-county are in pursuit of a gang that was captured on CCTV breaking into a car at Western Ambiance Hotel in Bumula, stealing Sh2.14 million. In the 3 pm incident yesterday, the 47-year-old victim had withdrawn the hefty sum of cash from a bank located in Busia town, stashed it in a bag which he placed in the trunk of his Toyota Premio before starting a journey towards Kisumu.
