A New Jersey man was arrested in Philadelphia after a woman he knew was found beaten to death inside her Burlington County home, officials said. Melissa Malcolm, 38, was found dead in the bed in her Mount Laurel Township home Wednesday afternoon, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s office said in a statement. Police were called to her home for a wellness check after she failed to show up for work, officials said.
